August – Keeping things tidy

An effective and very strurdy climbing frame for beans. The frame is made entirely from bamboo, and uses no string (the bamboo is woven in and out of the uprights). The beans on the picture are not very vigorous. so the frams did not need to be particularely high

Apple Props

Don’t forget that overladen apple branches commonly snap under the weight of the fruit. If there seems to be any danger of this happening, either remove some of the fruit, or prop up the branch with a suitable prop.
