Partings
As in other languages, there are a variety of different expressions that one uses when taking leave of someone. There is a great deal of regional variation with these expressions, so it is a good idea to listen to what your friends and neighbours say, and to copy them.
However, there are some expressions that will be understood in most areas of Brittany. The most common is Kenavo, which is used in much the same way as ‘Goodbye’:
